HOLIDAY HEADLINES HOMEWORK!

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Miss Taylor on 17-02-2010

What are you up to this holidays? As we have become roving reporters in our Literacy lessons try and write it as a headline – you could even expand on this and add a lead. REMEMBER  a headline needs to be snappy, bold and says what the report is about – could use alliteration, rhyme, pun or a play on words. Lead -  Who? What? Where? Why? When?   – 5 bums on a bench ;-)

ALIEN BRINGS THREAT TO SCHOOL.

Two weeks ago, strange findings were discovered at Brookburn Primary school. Rations of gloop and eaten foods were found at the scene and a supposed ‘Alien’ called Zargon has contacted us a series of times. He is hesitant to answer our questions and refuses to show himself.

Miss Taylor on 21 February, 2010 at 8:01 pm #

Brilliant, Dominique, wonder if he will ever show himself, pesky alien?!

Perhaps I’m not a Blogging Genius – I don’t know how to create a new ‘chapter’ so I’m going to have to add on to Miss Taylor’s Homework Blog! If possible can you find a photograph of a Buddha you would like to create out of clay, print it out and bring it in on Wednesday. Don’t worry if you can’t – I do have some photos that I have found, I just thought you might like to find your own. See you Wednesday!

1. Right understanding – understanding the Buddha’s teachings.
2. Right attitude – clear, positive thinking.
3. Right speech – not telling lies, being kind.

5. Right work – doing a job which doesn’t harm anyone else.
6. Right effort – going good deeds.
7. Right mindfulness – thinking before you speak or act.
